Wagecop
A mobile app that helps workers track their hours and know what they're actually owed — flagging labor-law violations in real time, like missed lunch breaks or unpaid overtime.
Freelance Software Developer
I’m Aiden Lee. I built California Labor Law’s suite of wage-and-hour calculators — several ranking #1 and #2 nationally for their searches — and Wagecop, a mobile app that brings the same wage logic to workers’ pockets. I turn complicated real-world rules into fast, reliable products people actually use.
Selected work
Most of what’s here was built for California Labor Law — a multi-year relationship that started with a single calculator and grew into a ranked suite of them, then a mobile app. The kind of work that gets you hired again.

Computes the maximum overtime pay a California employee is owed from their hourly rate and daily hours, applying whichever combination of rules yields the greatest pay.
Estimates the penalty an employer owes when a worker's final paycheck is late — a full day's wages for each late day, up to the 30-day statutory maximum.
Takes a shift's start time, end time, and unpaid meal-break minutes and determines the meal and rest breaks an employee was legally owed — flagging violations and estimating premiums.
About
I’m a freelance developer who turns fiddly real-world rules — like California’s wage-and-hour laws — into tools people can actually use. For California Labor Law I built a suite of calculators that now rank at the top of Google for their searches, then brought the same rules engine to mobile with Wagecop. I work mostly in JavaScript, PHP, and React Native, with a working focus on cybersecurity.
