Hourly workers rarely know, in the moment, when their employer has shorted them. Missed meal breaks, unpaid overtime, and off-the-clock work add up quietly, and by the time anyone notices, the records are gone.

Solution

Wagecop tracks shifts as they happen and applies California wage rules in real time — the same logic behind my top-ranked calculators, in your pocket. When something looks off, like a skipped lunch or overtime that wasn’t paid at time-and-a-half, the app flags it and explains what the rule actually says.

Approach

React Native + Expo for a single codebase across Android and iOS.
Supabase for authentication and synced shift history.
A rules engine that mirrors the calculators’ wage logic so results stay consistent across the product line.

Result

In active development — launching on Google Play first, then iOS.
